Lessons
I offer private music lessons in voice, music fundamentals, beginner guitar and piano, and songwriting for students of all ages. As a classically trained folksinger with a background in musical theatre, I am uniquely equipped to explore a wide variety of repertoire with my students.
I hold a Master of Music degree in Early Music, Voice from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where I earned the Presidential Award in Teaching Artistry. I continue to study voice privately (with Brandon Martinez) because I firmly believe that there is always more to learn, and that seeing hard work bear fruit is incredibly fulfilling, both as a teacher and a student. My private studio is located in Lincoln, MA, less than half a mile from the commuter rail.

House Concerts
House concerts are my favorite kind of show to play. They’re intimate and genuine by nature, and the experience is rewarding for audience, performer, and host alike.
My house shows are donation-based concerts, so there is no up-front cost to the host. All it takes is 15-20 folks seated for an hour of music. Your enthusiastic call for donations is what makes this kind of show financially viable for me.
I travel regularly between Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, but by all means, if you are interested in hosting, please contact me wherever you are! You bet I'll start whipping up a plan to make it out to you as soon as I possibly can.

Private Events
I am available for hire for private events including weddings, parties, religious services, and more. (Marriage proposals are my favorite.)
In addition to being a folksinger, I am a classically trained vocalist with an extensive range and perform in styles ranging from Medieval to folk to Broadway to Top 40. We'll work together to determine exactly what repertoire is appropriate for your event.
I am also available to perform with guitarist and singer-songwriter Jack Byrne – because sometimes these things call for tight harmonies (especially weddings).

If you've ever thought to yourself "gee, I'd really love to hear Rachel Marie perform [insert song here]," I have good news. I'm available for custom video commissions! I'll arrange and record a song of your choosing and share an audio file (.mp3 or .wav) and video file (up to 4K) with you via Google Drive.
Want to send someone a song for a special occasion? I'm happy to mention that in the video. Hate bloopers? I'll just record the song. LOVE bloopers? I'll make your blooper to song ratio obscenely disproportionate.
I'll retain all the rights to the arrangement, performance, and recording (including sharing it on my own platforms, such as YouTube), but you can use and share the video and audio files however you'd like.
Pricing is on a sliding scale based on the portion of my Patreon pledges that goes towards my monthly cover video, which is currently $132. If you'd like a lower-cost option, join my $5+ patrons on Patreon to make a suggestion and vote on my cover every month!
