Spring 2026: Exploring Jewish Music Through Time

The Tutti Music Collective presents its springtime collaboration with Ezekiel's Wheels in an exploration of the music of Jewish composers over time.

The rich traditions of Jewish music encompass many present-day genres, but have deep roots in the folk music of many communities. Perhaps the best-known from Klezmer is a vibrant instrumental musical tradition of Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe, originating in the Middle Ages. Over the years, Jewish composers have also been well represented in classical, popular, and theatre music. This concert will present a brief evolution of this music, from its folk origins through today, in a blend of choral and instrumental forms.
